She sips from a glass of wine. Takes a bite of salad. Then discusses the marketplace's demand for intact livers, lungs and brains — harvested from aborted babies.
In a two-hour, 42-minute undercover video — chilling in both its gruesome detail and the utter casualness with which the conversation unfolds — Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, explains how she fulfills orders for fetal organs.
"I'd say a lot of people want liver," Nucatola tells two actors posing as representatives of
Dr. Deborah Nucatola
a tissue procurement firm. "And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they'll know where they're putting their forceps. The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium — the head — is basically the biggest part.
"We've been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I'm not gonna crush that part," she says nonchalantly as lunchtime chatter fills a restaurant in Southern California. "I'm gonna basically crush below, I'm gonna crush above, and I'm gonna see if I can get it all intact."
About 40 minutes into watching the video, I needed to turn it off, walk away and calm my soul. That was shortly after Nucatola described in excruciating detail how she routinely repositions babies inside the womb to perform what sounds like a procedure commonly known as a partial-birth abortion.
So that the brain can be harvested.
Because, as she acknowledges, brains are in high demand.
And fetch a premium price.During the video Nucatola talked about that, depending on which organs are wanted, sometimes the abortionist will "change the presentation" of the fetus, and "convert it to a breach." That way valuable organs to be sold won't be crushed during the procedure. When the issue turned to the possible violation of federal law in selling fetal organs and engaging in partial-birth abortion, Nucatola responded with a Bill Clintonesque that laws are open to intepretatioin.
My conversion on the abortion issue came in college when I wrote a letter on prenatal development. In my research, I ran across what happened during an abortion. Fetuses, i.e. unborn babies are cut up and crushed during an abortion. Truly horrifying. The abortion issue is not at all what the liberals say it is - that the issue is about a woman's body. And, alt for me at least, my opposition to abortion had to do with medical science, not religion.

Indiana Governor Mike Pence called for an investigation into Planned Parenthood of Indiana. The Star reports:
Republican Gov. Mike Pence ordered Thursday an investigation into Planned Parenthood in Indiana after an undercover video shot by anti-abortion activists sparked widespread outrage this week over the harvesting of organs from aborted fetuses.
Citing federal and state laws prohibiting tissue trafficking, Pence said he directed the Indiana State Department of Health and the Attorney General’s Office to look into whether local Planned Parenthood locations have illegally profited from fetal organ donations.
“I think every Hoosier should be appalled at what has come forward as allegations in this video,” Pence told WIBC-FM (93.1) conservative radio host Greg Garrison. “I’m deeply troubled by it. It is my obligation as governor of the state of Indiana to make sure that this is not happening in Indiana.”
Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky does not participate in a tissue-donation program, a spokeswoman has said.
“And of course,” the local affiliate said in a statement, “we hold compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations as an imperative.”
The Republicans will do and use anything to go after Planned Parenthood. If you're against abortion, don't have one. If you're against others having an abortion, then you're a fascist. You also have more in common with ISIS than you do with America. They want to force their religious dogma on everyone too. Maybe the Republican Party should change it's name to Christian ISIS.
I always love the "[I]f you're against abortion, don't have one" line. Gee, will you extend that choice to the unborn child who doesn't survive the abortion? The notion that abortion just involves what a woman does with her own body is a complete lie that is evident to anyone who can read a sonogram.
As far as pro-lifers being motivated by religion, what about all those non-religious and atheist people out there who oppose abortion? The fact is many people's opposition to abortion is based on undeniable medical science.
Its medical science that benefits from these procedures. Lets not go back to the days when people would watch their children die due to their beliefs.
Anon 3:57, every successful abortion by definition involves the death of an unborn child. There is no way of getting around that.
"Childbirth is no more a miracle then eating food and a turd coming out of your ass." - Bill Hicks
To Paul at 4:00: That is one statement even the pro-abortionistas cannot escape.
To Anon at 3:57: You are saying, effect, the murder of those who cannot defend themselves is justified by any means and for any means?
To Paul at 3:45: You are correct. As the attack on Christians intensifies for no reason other than to attack Christianity at any time possible, I've begun to wonder what would happen if an Islamist religion adherent learned Arab children about to be born into the Religion of Islam were instead being aborted and that Arab bombed that particular abortion clinic in the name of Allah... would left liberals in favor of infanticide [such as Anon 2:57 apprears to be] remain quiet or denigrate members of the Islamist faith as well?
"Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky does not participate in a tissue-donation program, a spokeswoman has said.
“And of course,” the local affiliate said in a statement, “we hold compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations as an imperative.” I don't know about the first statement but the second one is a stone cold lie. Planned Parenthood of Indiana is the serial child rapist's best friend and their record of turning in statutory rapists stinks. I even think there was a video on the subject from the Bloomington area but I could be mistaken.
If Republicans cared as much for the living as they do the unborn I might actually vote for one.
How do you kill something that's not living?
Anon 7:25, apparently you flunked biology.
Yes, Paul (@ 10:20)- anyone who paid attention in Human Anatomy understands that even a single human cell is defined as "alive". A cell has multiple organelles and component systems and a nucleus constantly regulating its existence and performing its tasks and replicating itself. A physiology prof will inform you, if you are pay attention, that even though a body is composed of organs, the "work" is always performed at the cellular level. My take through Human Anatomy, Physiology, Human Development, etc., is that when a human egg is fertilized it is living and it is more than merely a mass of cells, it is human life. There's just no way around it when you know the facts; so when I hear the leftist liberal false mantra to excuse the murder of nborn human life that the unborn are not "alive" or are not "human" I know instantly I am in the presence of the truly uneducated.

http://www.lifedynamics.com/Abortion_Information//Baby_Body_Parts/BabyParts2.cfm Just noticing that the selling of parts is old news to anyone who ever paid attention. That, of course, would leave out duh media. Hmmm....Living sperm meets up with living egg, they combine and form one living cell. Most people get that in sex education in Kindergarten, these days, not biology 101.
What I find interesting is that you have no problem going after Mat Tully for not telling the whole story, but yet that's what you've done here. You should take the time to listen to the full 150 minute tape rather than just listening or reading the edited version. Sound bites don't always tell the truth. Especially when there is an agenda involved. And I'm not a fan of abortions. But I am a fan of transparency.
Anon 11:17, what makes you think I didn't watch the entire video? I did watch the entire 165 minute video. It doesn't discredit the charges against PP one bit. I waited so long to write about this story exactly because I wanted to see if the 165 minute video first, to see the entire lunch meeting in context acquitted the PP of wrongdoing. It doesn't. Not even close.
