President Barack Obama's Election Night Victory

That may seem like a weirdly inaccurate title. But people have to understand that politics follows the physics principle that for every action, there's a reaction. The 1980 Republican sweep resulted in Republicans getting hit hard in 1982. Clinton's win of the White House in 1992, resulted in the 1994 backlash against Democrats. Last night we saw voters providing the reaction against Democratic victories in 2006 and 2008.

President Barack Obama's party lost control of the U.S. House and almost lost control of the Senate. How then does that make the President a winner?

Now, instead of a liberal agenda directed by San Francisco Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Republicans will be calling the shots. With the House check in place, President Obama will have no choice but to offer a moderate agenda more appealing to middle America than was happening under Pelosi's leadership. When the Obama agenda inevitably fails thanks to the Republican House, President Obama will be able to run for re-election against the "Do Nothing" United States House of Representatives, just like President Harry Truman did in 1948.

Republicans would be foolish to think this election hurts President Obama's re-election chances in 2012. Actually it improves the odds President Obama is re-elected in 2012.

Boehner, Cantor and DeMint are mean and stupid. They have no ideas outside of institutionalized hatred, and it is the policies of these horrible men that gave us the collapse of America from 2000-2006.

Last night, Blitzer asked Cantor for a single agency or program he would cut. Cantor danced around the question. Blitzer asked, again, and Cantor threw out some social program that would save a billion. A billion.

No mention of the wars that cost upwards of a trillion, every year and blow money in foreign lands with no benefit to the U.S. He hatefully goes after a program that costs comparative peanuts and keeps money at home.

Republicans are for larger government than the Democrats. Republicans are especially fond of large government that strips liberties and imposes greater social controls. Wars, crimes and surveillance are the calling cards of Republicans. It will be fun to see Obama use them as a punching bag.

The Republicans want Iran's oil, and they want the U.S. to knock out Iran to protect Israel. Look for the Republicans to try to blunder arrogantly into a war we cannot win.

Shame on Obama for attacking Prop 19. He had a chance to show a real distinction between the parties. What good are the Democrats if they advocate the same attack on liberty as the Republicans.

BTW, does Boehner's stern visage strike anyone else as being one of Satan's minions, loosed upon Earth to scourge us all?

Gosh! You think these new Republicans can serve up as much war and killing as Obama does?

Do you think this new batch of republicans will ignore the thieves in Goldman Sachs and the banksters who are systematically raping America like Obama does?

You can bet they will!

Nothing has changed and it is business as usual. The pretend fight between the Republicans and Democrats is no different than pro wrestling.

Our country is not getting better because we got a new batch of politicians in red uniforms instead of blue ones.

Anyone who believes that is delusional.
