Black Expo Hires All White Public Relations Firm
A frequent refrain you hear from Democratic elected officials is the need for contract set-asides for minority-owned firms or at least firms that hire minorities. Thus it was surprising to learn that when Indiana Black Expo needed a public relations firm, IBE hired Myra Borchoff Public Relations, a firm that does not have a single African-American employee on staff. Reportedly, Mayor Ballard was behind the IBE's hiring the Borchoff firm and wanted the firm in place to speak for Black Expo as the firm also does PR work for the Colts, Pacers and is the Super Bowl Committee.

At least he didn't recommend hiring the firm employing his son!
I am shocked tO learn this.
The Mayors son works for another PR firm that has all of the no bid contracts with the city.Hirons.
The PR firm that Tanya hired does the work for the Pacers,,,now do you se how they got the job?
And, BTW, it's Myra Borshoff (you should spell her name correctly...)
HITH, I figured that's the way it was spelled but what I was looking at when I wrote it only had the one "f." Thanks.
And, it's an "s" not a "c" in Borshoff.
